The press highlights the "black box" of AI: V-Proof on El 9 Nou

By the V-Proof Team, Press and Communications

The media and tech ecosystem is buzzing about the launch of V-Proof . This week, our Hardcoded Compliance infrastructure has been in the spotlight both in print media—featured in the newspaper El 9 Nou—and on the airwaves, with our CEO and co-founder, Gil Blancafort, appearing on the sets and speaking on the airwaves of EL 9 TV and EL 9 FM.

El 9 Nou: The "black box" of companies and €560,000 in traction

The newspaper El 9 Nou has published an in-depth feature on us, highlighting our role as pioneers in industrial protection for AI-driven processes. In the article, founders Gil Blancafort and David Reifs explain how our technology acts as "the black box of airplanes, but for businesses," embedding legal compliance from the design stage.

In addition, the article highlights the growth of V-PROOF, which has raised 360,000 euros in an investment round and received a 200,000-euro equity-based loan from Enisa. This milestone is being achieved in collaboration with top-tier partners such as RocaJunyent, Consultoría Bosch, Merlin, and Cionet, and is already being utilized by clients such as the designer furniture manufacturer Rocada to ensure the verifiable traceability of its intellectual property against potential counterfeits.

EL 9 TV: The End of the "Compliance Documentary"

Meanwhile, Gil Blancafort visited the studios to discuss the current state of innovation on EL 9 TV and EL 9 FM. The message was clear: since the EU AI Act are now subject to penalties, and the high-risk requirements will take effect in December 2027 following the extension of the Digital Omnibus package; PDF ethics manuals are now a thing of the past.

"Using AI without traceability is like building your brand's value on a canvas that doesn't belong to you. If you don't have cryptographic proof of what your AI has done, the risk of multimillion-dollar fines is devastating."

Market Lessons: Validating the Thesis with Gartner

During the interview, real-life cases were analyzed that demonstrate why today’s technology, if not audited, is vulnerable: from the well-known leak of Samsung’s proprietary source code to OpenAI’s servers to the recent million-dollar frauds on Spotify. These are not inevitable technological failures; they are failures of governance.

These incidents confirm what the consulting firm Gartner warns about in its AI TRiSM framework. Our Hardcoded Compliance architecture addresses this need precisely by embedding the law directly into the codebase (Layer 0), so that legal compliance is not just a promise, but a verifiable technical certainty.
