V-PROOF Wins the 2026 Innovacat Awards in the Osona Jove Category
The jury for the 10th edition recognizes an infrastructure that makes AI governance verifiable by any third party.
V-PROOF was named the winner in the Osona Jove category of the 2026 Innovacat Awards, which recognize the most innovative companies and startups in Osona that have been in business for less than five years. The company emerged victorious among twelve finalists after presenting its project to the jury at the Colònia Rusiñol in Manlleu.
According to the jury, V-PROOF “contributes to the competitiveness of the Catalan business community in three ways: access to international markets, reduction of regulatory risk, and positioning Catalonia as a leader in AI governance.”
The Innovacat Awards, now in their tenth year, are organized by the Office of Economic Promotion of the Manlleu City Council in collaboration with Benito, Bon Preu, Casa Tarradellas, Esbelt, Girbau, Isern, and Seidor, with the support of the Barcelona Provincial Council.
From an Expressed Compliment to Verifiable Evidence
Organizations that deploy artificial intelligence need to demonstrate to regulators, auditors, and customers that their systems are under human control. The EU AI Act and the ISO/IEC 42001 standard require comprehensive and verifiable evidence, but current tools generate internal documentation that is controlled by the organization itself.
V-PROOF bridges that gap with V-Seal™: a cryptographic seal that records every decision, who approved it, and which part was made by the AI and which by a person, anchored on an immutable blockchain (L1/L2). Any third party can verify it by scanning a QR code, without accessing the company’s internal systems.
Born in Osona
V-PROOF was founded in Vic in March 2026 and, during this initial phase, has received support from its first clients: ROCADA, an industrial company based in Osona that applies AI governance to its ISO 9001 quality management system; FFUUSS; OTS GROUP; and Merlín Digital Partners.
“This award is especially meaningful because it comes from home. It shows that from Osona, we can build technological infrastructure for all of Europe, guided by a very clear principle: people always come before AI,” says Gil Blancafort, CEO and co-founder of V-PROOF.
This recognition comes at a time when the company is experiencing rapid growth: it is seeking integration partners and preparing its seed funding round to expand into the European market.
